Memory and Imagination

My images are all about the land, its mystery, ambiguity, its disruption and rhythm. I seek specific places that inspire a dialogue, locations in which l can explore the notion of time, space and the illusion of memory. My work documents time passing, a circle with no beginning or end, the continuity of infinite repetition. Ultimately, it is a journey of discovering the beauty and chaos that is always in flux.

By using a primitive camera with a manual winder, l am able to compose my narratives in camera by shooting continuous frames on one strip of film with no interruption. The constructed images reflect what takes place in nature, not as a singular image but a cinematic journey.

I utilize  platinum / palladium contact prints for their intimacy and rich tonalities, as well as
archival pigment prints  where intricate detail is exposed.
