Christine Laptuta originally trained as a painter and printmaker. She received her BFA with honours from York University in Toronto with additional training at the Ecole Des Beaux Arts in Paris,France. She now resides in Portland, Oregon.

Her work is included in the National Gallery Of Canada,Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Publications include the National Film Board of Canada,the Art Gallery of Ontario.  Shows include the National Film Board,the Art Gallery of Ontario. Her most recent shows are included in the bio below.
